Every not and then, we hear about pedestrian accidents that could have been prevented.
In most cases, these accidents happen because drivers are oblivious or distracted. Sometimes, they happen because the driver was speeding. The latest pedestrian accident in Washington happened in Vancouver, the Washington State Patrol has reported.
The Tuesday night accident took place when a pedestrian that had been walking south while in the northbound lanes of the Interstate 2015 was struck. The driver was going north and after striking the victim, the vehicle continued on.
The hit-and-run pedestrian accident caused the victim to suffer injuries. Hopefully, however, the pedestrian will be able to recover in full.
We hope the WSP is doing all in its power to find the driver responsible for this horrific accident. We also hope that the victim in this pedestrian accident is able to recover in a short period of time.
