Every not and then, we hear about pedestrian accidents that could have been prevented.
In most cases, these accidents happen because drivers are oblivious or distracted. Sometimes, they happen because the driver was speeding. We often report on these incidents because we want our clients and readers to keep in mind that there are certain behaviors that could make accidents more likely. As such, we want to teach them to be better, safer drivers.

If you’re a pedestrian, there are certain precautions you can take to avoid accidents. Some include always looking both directions of the road before crossing and always using a crosswalk. Drivers expect to see pedestrians at crosswalks, so if you cross in the middle of the road, the driver may not be able to see you.
