Washington Teen Killed In Tragic And Preventable Two-Car Accident

A horrific accident claimed a life in Airway Heights, Washington. This report saddens us as many other similar accidents continue to happen regularly across the Evergreen State.

The accident in question claimed the life of a 17-year-old.

According to local news reports, the teenager was a passenger in a 2011 Kia Sorento. The vehicle was entering Highway 2 from Wood Rd. when a 2008 Ford F-250 truck crashed into it. The 17-year-old driver along two other teenagers who were occupying the Kia were sent to the hospital with what officials called serious injuries. Unfortunately, one 17-year-old girl was killed as a result of the crash.

They were on their way to school so they could then be part of the school’s track and field team.

The Ford truck driver was injured but did not require medical attention at a hospital.

The accident reportedly happened because the vehicle in question may have failed to stop at the stop sign moments before entering the highway. This reminds us that it’s extremely important to follow road signs and know what they mean.

Ignoring stop signs as well as others may lead to accidents that can lead to fatalities. If drivers are not alert and not ready to be responsible, they will end up putting their life in danger.

Unfortunately, personal injury attorneys like us all have seen countless of similar accidents. We know that when drivers do not follow road rules, whether it’s associated with stop signs or speed limits, things can become dangerous quickly.

We are saddened and heartbroken that this horrific accident resulted in a death. We pray for the speedy recovery of those who were seriously injured. We also hope that our readers and clients have learned about the importance of following road signs while behind the wheel. This is important as it will help you to stay safe and keep others safe as well.
