Two Accidents Reported In Washington, WSP Says

Washington State Patrol officials have been busy recently. And as we approach Memorial Day Weekend, we know that, unfortunately, they will be even busier in the upcoming days.

According to a series of news reports, a woman lost her life after she fell from an overpass onto Interstate 5 in Tumwater. The incident involved a 58-year-old woman from Olympia who may have either accidentally fallen or jumped from the overpass. As her body fell, it hit a southbound car.

Officials say that she was declared dead at the scene of the accident.

The second accident to have happened recently took place on Wednesday afternoon. According to a series of reports, four vehicles were involved in a rollover crash that happened on the southbound lanes of State Route 167.

The accident happened at about 2:17 pm near the 84th Avenue South exit. The driver who was in the vehicle that rolled over was injured, but the injuries weren’t serious.

The traffic was blocked for a little under an hour and no serious injuries were reported. Still, many drivers suffered due to the delay caused by the accident.

We hope that both incidents that have happened in Washington are being thoroughly investigated so that drivers are able to learn more about how they took place. This could give them more information about how certain types of accidents may occur.
