Crash Near Enumclaw Leads to Death, Injuries

A tragic auto crash that took place near Enumclaw is making the news everywhere in Washington state.

According to a series of news reports, at least one person has died while four others were injured as a result of the collision.

The official news reports on this crash show that the accident happened when the westbound Honda Accord was allowed to leave the road where the vehicle immediately crashed into a tree. After the collision, the vehicle came to a rest. No other vehicles were involved.

Troopers who responded to the scene of the crash say that the driver initially veered onto the shoulder moments before over-correcting. He then ended up swerving across the road, hitting the tree broadside on the passenger’s side.

A passenger sitting in the front passenger seat died at the scene as a result of the crash.

The 18-year-old driver involved in the crash suffered life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision. He was promptly air-lifted to a local hospital to have his injuries treated. A third occupant, a 16-year-old girl, was also lifted to the hospital. Her injuries were listed as serious.

Another passenger, a 20-year-old, suffered less severe injuries and was also sent to the hospital.

Before the crash, the group had been in a bonfire nearby. Officials did not release any information on why he crash took place. Drivers who are serious about their safety should always focus on making sure that their attention is focused on the driving.

If you’re a parent and your teen is learning how to drive now, teach him or her to always make sure that their focus is on the road and on the act of driving. Also, teach your children to never drive while intoxicated.

Until more details are revealed, drivers should stay aware of the potential risks associated with other risks such as drowsy driving and speeding.
