Audi Recalls Vehicles Over Braking Issue

Audi’s parent company, Volkswagen, recalled 12,600 vehicles over a braking issue. According to a series of reports, the brake master cylinder casting in the recalled vehicles may not be long enough, and the driver may lose brake functions while driving.

The company reported that the 2018 and 2019 Audi Q5 and SQ5 SUVs were impacted. The firm also said that the electronic parking brake and emergency brake will continue to function even if the issue persists. Despite this, drivers should keep in mind that the risk of crash may increase if the vehicle loses braking power while on the go.

Once impacted vehicle owners take their cars to Audi dealers, the staff will inspect the brake master cylinders and replace them if there’s any need. This should fix the issue.

While the company already started notifying impacted vehicle owners in early May, consumers who are still waiting on their recall notification may contact Audi directly.
