These Hyundai, GM, Toyota Vehicles Have Just Been Recalled

Multiple news sources have indicated that major automakers have been recalling vehicles nationwide and abroad over injury and crash risks.

According to the reports, the most concerning recall campaign impacts vehicles manufactured by Toyota. The company has announced that 2.9 million vehicles are being recalled globally over seat belt concerns. In America, recalled vehicles include the 2005 through 2014 RAV4 SUVs, and the 2012 through 2014 RAV4 electric vehicles. Since these vehicles come with second-row window seats that were fitted with seat belts that may come in contact with a metal seat cushion frame in a severe frontal crash, the company believes that the seat belt may not properly secure the user if it fails to work properly.

In order to avoid injuries, the company has announced that plastic covers will be added to the metal frames of the impacted seat belts for free.

At least 1.1 million vehicles were impacted in the United States.

The second recall campaign announced with the help of the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration was launched by Hyundai.

According to a series of news reports, 11,176 units of the 2011 Hyundai Tucson SUVs have been recalled over a possible fluid leak risk.

The vehicles come with transmission fluid cooler hoses that could experience leaks over improper manufacture. If that’s the case and the hose experiences a crack, fuel may leak and the transmission won’t function correctly. That could lead to a crash since the vehicle may stop moving unexpectedly.

Customers with the recalled vehicles are urged to contact Hyundai immediately if they experience issues with their transmission. If you do not experience any problems, wit until Hyundai contacts you so you may schedule a visit.

The third recall we would like you to be aware of was issued by General Motors.

According to the reports, 2,000 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickup trucks have been fitted with steering gear connectors that may experience a poor electrical connection. If that’s the case, the driver may experience a loss of control over the vehicle, which will increase the risk of a crash.

GM hasn’t announced a notification schedule yet, but consumers with the recalled trucks are urged to contact GMC or Chevrolet if they experience any issues.

Consumers should never ignore recall reports, especially when they are tied to issues that could lead to crashes or injuries. If your vehicle experiences a problem, make sure to report the issue to the manufacturer and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at once. Your vigilance may help save lives.
