All too often, accidents that result in injuries happen and we don’t learn about them. Many of these crashes only make the news if roads are blocked or if injuries are serious and even deadly. As a result, many of us go on thinking that accidents don’t happen as frequently as they actually do.
But regardless of how serious the accident is, learning about the crash and the factors that led to the accident will help you to avoid similar occurrences.
One of the latest accidents we heard about happened just south of Monroe.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a 43-year-old woman from Everett was waiting to turn left onto 203rd Street SE from Highway 203 while a 35-year-old was driving north on the highway. The man eventually crashed into the woman’s car, which was then pushed against a man driving south.
The three car accident resulted in injuries, with the Everett woman and the third driver being rushed to local hospitals.
Officials are still investigating the accident and should learn more about the factors that caused the collision in the near future.
We hope that the drivers who were injured recover fully and quickly. We also hope that officials are able to figure out what happened to the first driver that ended up causing him to crash into the Everett woman.
Many distracted driving accidents happen just like this one. When drivers are distracted, they are less likely to notice that cars ahead have slowed down or stopped driving altogether. As a result, these drivers end up crashing into the back of vehicles too frequently and this type of car accident involving several vehicles becomes a reality.
While we’re glad that no deadly injuries were reported, we hope that officials are able to let us know exactly what happened as knowing the factors may help us better understand this accident so that later we may avoid similar circumstances.
