A horrific Vancouver accident has claimed the lives of three people. Unfortunately, the collision happened because a man was driving the wrong way on State Route 14.
According to a series of news reports, the accident happened at 1:17 in the morning. A 33-year-old from Vancouver was driving his vehicle in the eastbound lane of SR14, colliding with another vehicle head-on. The man was taken to the hospital where he died. His passenger and the second driver were declared dead at the scene of the tragic accident.
While occupants and drivers in both of these vehicles were seriously injured, they were not the only ones involved in the accident. A third vehicle was involved in the accident but left the scene before officials arrived.
What’s worse is that just one hour after this collision, a second wrong-way driver collided with another car. The driver was seriously injured and then taken to the hospital. The other driver and passenger were injured but officials did not release how bad their injuries were.
A third car was also involved in the second accident, but the occupants didn’t suffer any major injuries.
The accidents forced officials to close the road.
