A woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Saturday in Chehalis, Wash., according to news reports.
The accident occurred when a 77-year-old woman was walking south in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Chehalis. As she was along the busy freeway, she was reportedly struck and killed by an unknown vehicle.
Washington State Patrol troopers are looking for the hit-and-run driver. They reported to the scene on I-5 near Labree Road in Chehalis, at about 10 p.m. and said the driver was gone.
It is unclear why the woman was walking along the interstate. The incident is being investigated.
