A 61-year-old woman was fatally injured in a car accident Saturday night in Oregon, according to news reports.
The fatal car accident occurred around 10:45 p.m. Saturday when the Lake Stevens woman was south on I-5 in a 2005 Dodge pickup that was pulling a trailer with a 32-foot aluminum boat.
“As she was driving down a straight downgrade stretch of the freeway, she lost control of the vehicle. The pickup traveled along the side of the freeway, up an embankment and rolled, coming to rest on its top,” according to news reports.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She was wearing a seat belt, according to the Washington State Patrol.
No other vehicles or passengers were involved in the collision.
