A couple from Oregon were trapped in their Honda Sonata after a 100-foot tall tree fell and crushed their car.
They say that a gust of wind knocked over the tree. The roots of the tree were rotten, and a gust of wind knocked it over just as they pulled into the drive at the house the wife’s parents. They heard a shattering noise and the roof came down on them. The husband’s shoulder was fractured.
They called 9-1-1, and rescue crews were able to pull them to safety. The ordeal lasted about 10 minutes, but they said it felt like hours.
