According to the Washington State Patrol, there was a terrible accident early this morning on I-404. Reports show that the driver of a tanker truck was allegedly killed after his vehicle rolled off the road.

The news articles have reported that the truck the 56-year-old from Port Orchard was driving was loaded with carbon dioxide liquid used for the manufacturing of various types of soda. The vehicle was going southbound on I-405 when, just south of I-90, the truck struck the barrier ramp. The Washington State Patrol is still investigating what might have caused the accident.

The vehicle rolled down an embankment after rolling off the road. It finally rested on the cab and according to the authorities, the driver died instantly.

Rescue crews responded to the emergency calls right away but were incapable of removing the driver from the debris. Tow trucks were called to the site and brought the truck from the embankment for the authorities to collect the body.

The lanes were closed until 7 a.m. and the Washington State Patrol is still investigating the causes behind the crash. As a Seattle personal injury lawyer, I’m saddened to hear about this terrible accident. My heart goes to the family of the man who was fatally involved in this crash.

Unfortunately, many personal injury lawyers are very familiar with cases that end in a similar tragic way.
