Toy Tool Set Recalled Over Choking Hazard

A toy manufacturer has announced a recall of 1.7 million of their products due to a choking hazard, according to recent news sources.

Little Tikes, of Hudson, Ohio, has received two reports of a child choking on the oversized plastic nails of their children’s toy workshop and tool sets, reported the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The children in both instances were taken to hospitals and were able to make a full recovery.

Little Tikes has advised consumers to remove the oversized plastic nails from the sets and discard them. The toy nails are either red or blue and about 3.25 inches long and 1.25 inches in diameter.Consumers may contact the company for replacement parts, free of charge.

Over 1.6 million toy workshop sets and trucks with the same nails were recalled in 2009.
