Three Teens Injured in Crash

Three teenagers were injured in a car accident early Thursday in Sammamish, according to news reports.

The accident occurred around 12:30 a.m. when a teenage driver was allegedly speeding near the intersection of SE 25th Way and Beaver Lake Way SE. As he was traveling, he lost control of the car, causing it to run off the roadway and crash through a fence, then wrap around a tree.

Neighbors in the area near the intersection of SE 25th Way and Beaver Lake Way SE called 911 when they heard the loud crash, according to news reports.

One of the teenage boys was able to get out of the vehicle after the collision, but to other were trapped inside until rescue worker were able to get them out, according to the King County sheriffs department.

“Eastside Fire and Rescue responded and was able to use the jaws of life to get the other two individuals out of the car,” the department said to news reports.

The three boys were transported to a hospital but re expected to survive, according to news reports.

Police said they do not believe alcohol played a role in the crash. The accident is being investigated.
