A teenage driver died in a car accident along U.S. Highway 97 in Wapato, Wash., according to news reports.
The incident occurred around 8 a.m. Monday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 97 and Lateral A when the 18-year-old was driving her 2010 Honda Accord collided with a southbound 2001 Ford Ranger driven by a Yakima woman, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The 18-year-old died at the scene. The 67-year-old driver of the other vehicle was uninjured. Both vehicles were totaled in the collision.
It is unclear how the collision exactly occurred.
