Rainy Seattle weather prompted a mudslide Monday morning, damaging two vehicles, according to news reports.

The incident occured in Magnolia, at the  32nd Avenue West and West Galer Street intersection. According to Seattle Police and the Seattle Department of Transportation, a mud side pushed two vehicles over an embankment.

Luckily, the two vehicles were unoccupied and no injuries were reported in connection to the mudslide, according to news reports.

The Magnolia mudslide wasn’t the only one reported over the weekend. Heavy rain caused another mudslide, blocking Highway 525 at 15th Place in Mukulteo, according to news reports.

As a Bellingham personal injury lawyer, I’m glad to hear that no one was injured in this car accident caused by a mudslide. I urge drivers to never drive on roads that care closed because of inclement weather or mudslides. Heavy rain can also cause standing water on the roadways that can cause vehicles to hydroplane, possibly result in a car accident. It can also decrease visibility for drivers. I urge drivers to use more caution when driving in the rain and slow down.

If you or a loved one has been injured in a car accident, contact a car accident attorney in Bellingham.
