During a recent survey, 23% of teens admitted to driving under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, along with other types of drugs. As well as admitting to this, 91% of teens also said they think they’re good drivers. 40% claimed driving under the influence did not influence their driving abilities. 75% also said driving while influenced by marijuana doesn’t affect their driving skills. Around 3,000 teen drivers are killed each year, and the Students Against Destructive Decisions advise that all parents discuss driving habits with their kids on a regular basis along with how to remain safe. Common times that teens report driving under the influence are prom, graduation, and the Fourth of July, according to news reports.
