A vehicle struck by the back of a Washington State Patrol trooper’s car while the officer was pulled over at the side of Interstate 5 near Highway 101.

The trooper said the driver apparently lost control in a large pool of water. The driver of the patrol car was taken to the hospital with a complaint back of back pain.
