A semi-truck accident blocked roadways in Redmond on Thursday, according to news reports.
The incident occurred when a semi-truck pulling a cargo container attempted to turn left from Redmond Way onto 148th Avenue Northeast when it flipped over, blocking the roadway.
Luckily, the driver of the truck was not injured in the crash. She claims the collision occurred when another vehicle ran a red light in the opposite direction, causing her to hit the brakes as she was turning, causing the semi-truck to fall over.
The truck, which was carrying crabs, blocked the northbound lane of 148th Avenue Northeast and the eastbound lane of Redmond Way onto 148th, according to news reports.
It is unclear if there was actually a car that caused the collision. Police said they are checking the red light camera to see if it has any information.
As a Tacoma car accident lawyer, I’m glad to hear that this semi-truck accident didn’t cause any serious injuries. I urge truck drivers to be careful and avoid sharp turns that could cause their vehicle to flip over onto its side.
