One man was injured in a rollover car accident in the Terrace Heights area of Yakima on Monday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The accident occurred when the 30-year-old man was driving east in the 5700 block of Roza Hill Drive in his 2000 Jeep Cherokee about 4:50 a.m., according to news reports. He lost control of his sport utility vehicle and it left the roadway, hitting a power pole and rolling over. The vehicle then came to a rest on its roof, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The man was taken to Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center, according to the state patrol. The extent of his injuries is unknown.
It is also unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a factor in the early morning car accident. The report also failed to mention whether the man was wearing his seatbelt.
As a Seattle personal injury lawyer, I hope that the man is OK and is able to recovery from the injuries he sustained in the crash. I hope that impaired diving was not a factor in this crash. It saddens me to hear about drivers being involved in a car accident, especially when drugs or alcohol is suspected to be involved. I urge drivers to always have a safe way home from a designated driver when they have been drinking. I’m glad to hear no one else was injured in this crash.
