Two family members were arrested on suspicion of drunken driving Sunday, in two separate incidents, according to news reports.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the first incident occurred around midnight when a 25-year-old Kent man was driving northbound on Interstate 405 and Highway 169. The man was reportedly picking up a friend who needed a ride after being arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. When the 25-year-old arrived however, he too was arrested on suspicion of DUI, according to news reports.
Nearly an hour later, a 29-year-old Kent man was pulled over on southbound Interstate 5 near the Boeing Access Road for suspicion of DUI and driving with a suspended license. The man had other passengers in his vehicle, but reportedly said he was the designated driver.
The men arrested shared the same name and home address, although it’s not exactly clear what their relationship is, according to news reports.
As a Bellevue car accident attorney, I urge drivers to never drink and drive. Drinking and driving not only puts yourself at risk, but also the lives of others around you.
