A pedestrian died Wednesday night after being struck by multiple vehicles along Highway 530, according to news reports.
The fatal pedestrian accident occurred just before 9:30 p.m. when a 33-year-old Arlington man was standing in the eastbound lane of Highway 530, according to the Washington State Patrol. While he was along the busy highway, near 249th Street Northeast, north of Arlington, he was struck by two vehicles.
The man was transported to Cascade Valley Hospital, but later died as a result of his injuries, according to the State Patrol.
It is unclear why the man was standing so close to traffic. It is also unclear how the collision exactly occurred.
So far, it is unknown if any charges have been filed for the fatal pedestrian accident or who was at fault in the collisions.
