One person died in a two-car collision Thursday morning in Bothell, according to news reports.

The fatal accident occurred around 7 a.m. along the Bothell-Everett Highway, just north of Maltby Road, in Bothell, according to news reports.  It is unclear how the collision occurred, but two cars were reportedly involved.

One of the drivers of the cars was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, according to news reports. It is unclear whether that driver was injured, or was the one killed in the collision.

The names and ages of the victims have not been released.

According to the Washington State Patrol, alcohol may have played a factor in the collision.

The car accident blocked all northbound lanes of the highway Thursday morning.
