One Hurt in Speeding Crash

One man was seriously injured in a car crash Sunday morning on Interstate 90 near Ellensburg, Wash., according to news reports.

The single-vehicle collision occurred when a 29-year-old Selah man was driving 2006 Ford pickup westbound on I-90. He, for unknown reasons, crossed the left lane into the median and struck a bank and overturned, according to news reports. The man was transported to Kittitas Valley Community Hospital with injuries including a sore neck.

A passenger in the vehicle escaped injuries, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The Washington State Patrol believes speeding played a factor in the collision. The driver was charged with “driving with wheels off roadway,” according to news reports.

As a Bellevue car accident attorney, I’m glad to hear that no deaths occurred in this collision. I hope the driver is able to quickly recover from all of his injuries. I hope he also learns his lesson to always follow speed limit signs and never speed.  I’m glad the other passenger was able to escape harm. This collision could have easily been much worse on the busy freeway.
