One man was killed Saturday in a motorcycle accident in West Richland, according to news reports.

The fatal accident killed the Benton City man and injured his wife, according to news reports. The couple was on the motorcycle when they collided with a car that crossed the center lane into their lane.

The 52-year-old man was transported to a hospital in Spokane, but later died. His wife is reportedly in stable condition at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland.

It is unclear what caused the driver of the car to cross into the other lane, hitting the couple on the motorcycle head-on. It is also unclear if the couple on the motorcycle were wearing helmets. An investigation into this incident is ongoing.
