One man died in a motorcycle accident Saturday on Blewett Pass, according to news reports.
“The Washington State Patrol reports that the 28-year-old man was on his 2005 Suzuki GS500F heading north on Highway 97, just south of the top of the pass just before 7 p.m. In the middle of a curve, a 2011 Toyota Camry crossed the center line and crashed into the motorcycle,” according to news reports.
The man was wearing a helmet, but died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.
The 61-year-old Redmond man who was driving the Toyota was not injured, according to news reports.
It is unclear exactly how the collision occurred. So far, no citations or charges have been cited in the crash. Washington State Patrol investigators are working to determine why the Toyota crossed the center line and hit the motorcycle.
