More Companies Recall Pourable Gel Fuel

Five different companies have issued recalls for their pourable gel fuel, in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, after several people were injured and two people died from burns, according to news sources.

The companies and products recalled include:

Luminosities/Windflame recalled about 26,500 bottles of OZOfire Pourable Gel Fuel made by Fuel Barons, Inc., of Stateline, Nevada.

Fuel Barons recalled an additional 14,000 bottles and jugs of OZOfire and SUREFIRE pourable gel fuels.

Smart Solar recalled about 1,400 bottles of Smart Jel gel fuel distributed by Smart Solar, Inc., of Oldsmar, Florida.   Citronella and unscented formulas are part of the recall.

Real Flame, of Racine, Wisconsin recalled about 100,000 bottles of Real Flame pourable gel fuel bottles.

Bond Manufacturing of Antioch, California also recalled about 16,500 bottles and jugs of Bond Firebowl Pourable gel fuel.

Fuel Baron and Luminosities received reports of injury.

The recall was first issued on September 1 after 60 injuries were reported. Nine companies were involved in that recall of over 2 million jugs of gel fuel.

Consumers should stop using the product and return it to the store of purchase for a full refund.
