Men Injured in Head-on Collision near Spokane

Two men were seriously injured in a car accident Sunday near Elmer City, Wash., along state Highway 155, according to news reports.

The accident occurred when one driver was headed southbound and another was going northbound on the state highway when they collided head-on in the northbound lane, according to the Washington State Patrol. The southbound driver suffered facial injuries, and the northbound driver received a head injury, and a broken hip and leg, according to the patrol.

The men were airlifted to Spokane’s Sacred Heart Medical Center after the crash. The driver who suffered facial injuries was wearing a seatbelt. It is unclear whether the other driver was buckled-up as well.

Both vehicles were destroyed in the collision. It is unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision. The investigation into this crash is ongoing.

As a Spokane car accident attorney, I’m saddened to hear about this head-on collision that caused these drivers serious personal injuries. I hope the two men are able to quickly recover from their injuries. I hope driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol was not a factor in this crash.
