Medical Condition May Have Caused Crash

One man was killed in a truck accident Thursday morning on Highway 7 near Eatonville, according to news reports.

The accident occurred around 9:30 a.m. when state troopers said a man was driving erratically, causing him to drive his red pickup truck off the roadway.

It is unclear what caused the driver to drive erratically on the roadway and lose control of the vehicle. Troopers said they don’t believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.

Police are investigating whether or not the man ad a medical emergency prior to the collision, according to news reports.

“No traffic backups were reported on Highway 7, also known as Mountain Highway East, which is the main route to Mount Rainier National Park from the west,” according to news reports.
