Mazda 6 Investigated for Unsafe Doors

Doors on 39,000 cars manufactured by Mazda may not close properly, prompting officials to investigate. So far, four complaints have surfaced involving the doors failing to latch on the 2009 Mazda 6 cars. In one case the passenger door opened while the car was in motion, and the manufacturer said the problem may be due to a missing door-latch mounting screw. They are currently determining if a recall is necessary, and whether the problem has led to any crashes or injuries, according to news reports.
