Man Ran Over While Working on Power Pole

A power pole construction worker was seriously injured Friday when a tension line broke and he was run over by a truck, according to news reports.

The accident occurred early Friday, around 3:30 a.m., when the lineman working for Potelco was replacing a power pole. As he was working, a line that was under tension snapped, knocking the 40-year-old man out of the truck’s bucket and under the vehicle, according to news reports.

The man was then run over by the truck, which was being driven at a low speed.

Medics rushed to the scene in the 14500 block of SE Tiger Mountain Road and took the man to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, according to news reports.

His current condition is unknown.

The accident is being investigated by the King County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
