Man Injured in Fiery Maple Valley Crash

A man was seriously injured in a car accident in Maple Valley early Sunday morning, according to news reports.

The single-vehicle car accident occurred around 2:30 a.m. at the 27200 block of SE Kent-Kangley Road, according to news reports. It is unclear exactly how the accident occurred, but the driver was reportedly ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

When firefighters and emergency personnel arrived at the scene the victim was found sitting nearby. He was treated at the scene and airlifted to a nearby hospital’s trauma center.

His vehicle caught fire during the collision, according to news reports.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash. Other factors including distracted driving, driving under the influence and speeding have not been ruled out as contributors to this crash.
