Man Injured in Collision with Transportation Truck

One man was injured in a car accident early Friday when he rear-ended another vehicle on state Route 167.

The car accident occurred around 3:15 a.m. when a 43-year-old Pacific man was driving on state Route 167. As he was traveling, he crashed into the back of a transportation vehicle that was reportedly blocking a lane of the highway. The vehicle was reportedly in the roadway in Algona for maintenance, according to the Washington State Patrol. The lights on the vehicle were reportedly activated at the time of the collision, according to news reports.

The Pacific man was injured in the collision. He was transported to Auburn General Hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries or current condition is unknown.

The driver of the transportation vehicle did not report any injuries. The incident is being investigated.
