A man in Tacoma died Monday night, falling victim to the snowstorm that swept the Puget Sound that day.
A car on Interstate 5 in Tacoma struck the man, who has not yet been identified. He died at the scene.
It is unclear whether the man was chaining up his car or pushing it when he was hit Monday evening in the southbound lanes on I-5, Trooper Brandy Kessler said to news reports.
As a Tacoma personal injury lawyer I’m saddened to hear about this death. My sympathies go out to his friends and family during this tough time.
Nearly two and a half inches of snow fell yesterday, according to a reading at Sea-Tac Airport, breaking a 1977 record and causing all kinds of problems for drivers.
Unfortunately, I only expect more Tacoma car accidents to occur from the snowfall. The freeze overnight has cased a very slick commute in the Seattle area for Tuesday morning.
As a car accident attorney in Seattle, I urge drivers to stay home is they don’t absolutely have to go out, and follow this advice for driving in the snow. I hope everyone stays safe during this winter weather.
