Man Dead, Others Injured in Crash into Kent Home

One man died Saturday morning in a car accident in Kent, according to news reports.

The accident occurred when a car, driven by a 23-year-old Federal Way man, was heading west on Southeast 274th Way around 11:40 p.m. near the 11100 block of Southeast 274th Way on Kent’s East Hill.  The speeding car lost control, went off the road, struck some trees and then slammed into a nearby house.

A 32-year-old Kent man who was a passenger in the vehicle died in the car accident. Four other people in the car were taken to the hospital. Their condition is unknown, according to news reports.

Washington State Patrol troopers said they don’t think anyone in the vehicle was wearing their seatbelts. It is undetermined whether drugs or alcohol were involved in the collision.

No one in the home was injured.

As a Seattle car accident attorney, it saddens me to hear about drivers being involved in a car accident, especially when drugs or alcohol is suspected to be involved. My condolences go out to this man’s family and friends who are affected by this accident.  I hope the other victims in this accident experience a speedy recovery.
