I-5 Single-Vehicle Crash Hospitalizes Two

A crash on Interstate 5 sent two people to the hospital, according to recent news sources.

The crash occurred in Federal Way near the truck scales. The time was just after 3 a.m. A 25-year-old man from Tacoma was headed south on Interstate 5 in a 1994 Pontiac Grand Am. The man, from Tacoma, left the roadway on the right side, and then hit a stop sign and an antenna post. The car flipped, stopping in the area where the truck scales are. It landed on its top.

The Grand Am contained a 21-year-old passenger, a female, also from Tacoma. The driver and the passenger were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Neither the driver nor the passenger had a seat belt on, according to Washington State Patrol.

The crash is currently under investigation. Washington State Patrol believe that drugs or alcohol were related to the cause of the accident.

As a Federal Way auto accident lawyer, I hope that both of these people are able to recover from the injuries they sustained. In my experience as a personal injury attorney Federal Way, I know that drugs or alcohol can seriously affect your judgement. Never get behind the wheel if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
