I-5 Car Accident Kills Seattle Man

News sources reported that a 40-year-old Seattle man was killed in a car accident on Interstate 5 Sunday morning.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident occurred just after midnight Sunday morning in the southbound traffic lanes of Interstate 5, underneath the 85th Street overpass. A brief investigation revealed that the 40-year-old driver was traveling southbound on Interstate 5 in his 2000 Honda Civic when he exited at 85th Street. After doing so, his vehicle struck the guardrail on the 85th Street overpass for unknown reasons. The vehicle crashed through the rail, continuing through multiple other objects before ultimately coming to rest on its roof in the southbound traffic lanes of I-5. Troopers responded to the scene at 12:10am Sunday and pronounced the driver dead at the scene from injuries sustained during the crash.

The cause of this accident is still being investigated by the Washington State Patrol. At this time, it is still unknown as to whether drugs or alcohol played contributing roles in this accident.

As a Seattle car accident lawyer, I’m deeply saddened to learn of this tragic loss of life. In my years as a car accident lawyer, I’ve seen similar accidents and know the devastating effects they can have on the family and friends left behind. My heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to them at this time.
