Hyundai will not issue recall for potentially defective vehicles

Hyundai Motor Company has announced that it will not issue a recall for the estimated 227,000 cars in Australia that may have been equipped with faulty brake pedal switches. The automaker has instead announced a service campaign to repair the defect which in some instances can cause a delay between the application of the brake pedals and the illumination of the rear brake lights.
