Three drivers in Ohio recently filed a lawsuit against Ford, alleging the EcoBoost engine is defective. They allege the company knew about the problems but did not inform customers. The EcoBoost could shudder, alleges the lawsuit, and lose power while the driver is accelerating. As of now, there have been more than 100 complaints to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration regarding the defect. The EcoBoost is included on several vehicles, including the F-150, Ford Taurus, and Lincoln MKS, according to news reports.
