News outlets reported that a two-vehicle accident in Federal Way Sunday morning injured four people off of Interstate 5.
According to reports from the Washington State Patrol, the accident occurred at around 1:30am Sunday as a 22-year-old California man was driving his 1999 Honda Civic southbound on Interstate 5. As the Civic exited I-5 at South 320th Street, the vehicle collided with an eastbound 2011 Ford Crown Victoria being driven by a 42-year-old Puyallup man. Both vehicles were totaled in the accident an impounded by authorities.
The drivers of both vehicles were transported to St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way. The 18-year-old passenger in the Civic was taken to Harborview Medical Center for the treatment of injuries sustained in the accident, as was the 22-year-old passenger in the Crown Victoria. All four-vehicle occupants were reported as wearing safety belts during the accident. The Washington State Patrol is continuing their investigation of the accident.
