Drunken Driving Crash Kills Passenger

One person died in a suspected drunk driving accident near East Wenatchee on Saturday night, according to news reports.

The fatal accident occurred when a 29-year-old Wenatchee man crossed the fog line on Highway 28 near East Wenatchee and crashed into an abandoned bus on the shoulder of the highway. The collision killed the 28-year-old male passenger in the car, according to news reports.

The driver sustained head injuries in the crash, and was taken to a nearby hospital. His condition is unknown.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the driver will likely be charged with vehicular homicide for the fatal car crash.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
