The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Ad Council has launched a new campaign reminding drivers that buzzed driving is drunken driving.

While the focus for decades has been on drunken driving, many people do not understand that drinking even a little too much can impair one’s judgment. It can also be costly if you get into a wreck. The NHTSA claims that one accident can cost approximately $10,000 when you factor in insurance rate increases and legal fines. More than 10,000 people die each year from drunken drivers, so enjoy the holidays but don’t get behind the wheel while impaired.
