Drunk Pedestrian Killed in Crash

A drunken pedestrian was injured in a car accident Thursday afternoon in Auburn, according to news reports.

The pedestrian accident occurred when the 31-year-old man was reportedly trying to cross five lanes of traffic near a gas station in the 1700 block of Auburn Way North when he was hit by the car just after 2 p.m.

The man was seriously injured in the crash and had to be airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, according to news reports.

Officers said it appeared the pedestrian was drunk, which lead to the collision.

The driver likely won’t face any charges for hitting the man. According to the Washington State Patrol.
