Did Toyota Cover Up Vehicle Problems?

As a Seattle personal injury lawyer, I’ve been tracking the Toyota recalls for some time now. This summer, the car industry giant recalled more than 2 million cars because of a gas pedal issue and just this past Thursday, it recalled another 1.53 million vehicles for brake fluid and fuel pump problems. It’s frustrating to see Toyota’s recalls going on for so long.

One allegation against the company suggests the recalls have been so ongoing because the company was secretly repurchasing vehicles from owners who reported unintended acceleration and then forced them to sign confidentiality agreements, promising not to discuss their complaints.

According to the article, more than 200 lawsuits have been filed against Toyota because of because of acceleration problems and other problems linked to car accidents. The new charges are part of a 1,056-page document filed Wednesday as part of a class-action case against the Japanese automaker.

As a Seattle personal injury lawyer, I’m paying close attention to lawsuits and allegations surrounding Toyota.  If you or a loved one have been injured in a car accident related to the gas pedal issue, brake fluid and fuel pump problems or other issues from a Toyota vehicle, contact a personal injury lawyer.
