Two Idaho residents were injured Saturday in a car accident along U.S. Highway 95 near Spokane, according to news reports.
According to the Idaho State Patrol, the accident occurred around 12:55 p.m. when a 57-year-old driver heading northbound on the highway in his 2009 Jeep Patriot. The driver somehow lost control of his vehicle, causing it to cross into oncoming traffic and crash into a southbound 2008 Ford Edge.
Both drivers, from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, were taken to the hospital. The 57-year-old who caused the crash was treated and released soon after. The 62-year-old victim was listed in fair condition as of Saturday night, according to the news reports.
Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in this crash, according to the Idaho State Police. The incident is being investigated.
