Crash Caused by Medical Emergency

One man died in a car accident Sunday afternoon, after suffering from a medical emergency, according to news reports.

The fatal car accident occurred around 3 p.m. on Sunday when a 51-year-old Auburn man was traveling south on Highway 167 approaching the 15th Street NW exit, in Auburn, according to news reports.

As the man was driving, he apparently had some sort of medical problem, according to the Washington State Patrol. He lost control of his truck, veered to the right, went across a grassy area off the side of the highway and then crashed into bushes.

When troopers arrived, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators have determined a medical issue caused the man’s death, according to the Washington State Patrol.
