Car Driven by Teen Hits Pole, Alcohol Might Have Been a Factor

According to several local news articles, an 18-year-old driver was arrested after being involved in an accident on Meridian Avenue last Thursday.

According to the articles, the driver was going northbound on the road in the Graham area sometime around 12:45 a.m. when he drifted off the road and hit a power pole. The impact from the collision forced the power pole to collapse. The Washington State Patrol official reports reveal that the power pole was knocked down and the lines were lying across the road, which prompted officers to close all lanes right away.

Troopers say that the teenager was possibly intoxicated while behind the wheel.

The news articles disclosed that the driver and the two passengers were taken to the hospital but the extent of their injuries is still unknown.

As a Seattle car accident lawyer, I’m saddened to hear about this tragic car accident possibly caused by drinking and driving. I hope the victims are able to experience a full and speedy recovery. Hopefully, investigators are able to find out what happened to cause this collision so an accident like this can potentially be avoided in the future.

If you or a loved one has been injured in a car accident caused by a drunken driver, contact a personal injury lawyer as soon as possible.
