Car Accident Outside Pasco Injures 2 Othello Women

News sources reported that two Othello women sustained moderate injuries in a car accident outside of Pasco on Highway 295 Wednesday morning.

According to the Washington State Patrol, a 20-year-old Othello woman was driving her 2003 Honda Accord in the southbound traffic lanes of Highway 395 at about 6:45am Wednesday morning behind a slow-moving semi-truck. At the same time, a second semi-truck, driven by a 47-year-old California woman, was entering the southbound lanes of Highway 395 from Phend Road. The 20-year-old woman attempted to pass the slow moving semi-truck her vehicle was tailing, and moved into the lane of the second semi-truck, striking the 1997 Mack truck.

The 20-year-old Othello woman and her 31-year-old passenger sustained moderate injuries in the accident. The two women were transported to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland for the treatment of their injuries. No update on their conditions has been provided. The 47-year-old California woman was not injured in the accident.
