One man was killed in a bicycle accident Friday afternoon in Kirkland, according to news reports.

The collision occurred when a truck rear-ended a bicycle headed north in the 8600 block of NE Juanita Drive, according to news reports. It is unclear exactly how the collision occurred.

The victim, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. The victim has not yet been identified.

It is unclear if the 18-year-old driver was injured in the crash.

Investigators said they don’t believe the truck driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash. The accident is being investigated.
