One man was injured in a car accident that was reportedly caused by driving under the influence in North Seattle early Tuesday, according to news reports.
The incident occurred around 2 a.m. when a 23-year-old Bellevue man was reportedly driving east on Northeast 80th Street in North Seattle. He then allegedly lost control of the vehicle and went down the embankment, vaulting onto southbound I-5 and landing in the right-hand lane of the freeway, according to news reports.
He was injured in the collision, with non-life-threatening injuries, and transported to Harborview Medical Center.
Washington State Patrol Troopers placed the man under arrest at the hospital for suspected driving under the influence.
No other vehicles or victims were involved in the collision.
As a Bellevue car accident attorney, I’m saddened to hear about this car accident related to driving under the influence. I urge drivers to never drink and drive, as it not only puts themselves at risk, but also everyone around them. I hope this man is able to experience a full and speedy recovery.
